CAKEHOLE

CAKEHOLE is the second zine in the series of 3 zines all designed by April Gertler. The four color riso printed zine uses both fashion photography and vernacular imagery to consider the way in which women's bodies are fragmented and presented to an audience that goes from the fashion conscious person to the parent/partner/sibling who took the photograph of the person. The zine uses drawings, collages, photographs, both analog and digital, in addition to found images, that consider a play on pattern, texture and color always looking at the way in which women, and how those fragmented bodies are portrayed.

The other titles in the series include; DAMP PATCHES (the first zine in the series) and PUSSYBOW (the last zine in this series).

Both CAKEHOLE and DAMP PATCHES were 4 color riso printed by AML Press based in Paris, FR and PUSSYBOW was a 5 color riso printed zine by Colorama based in Berlin, Germany.
